The aim of this initiative: to promote engineering professions to young people, by giving them a concrete, collaborative and stimulating experience.
Over two days, high school students, apprentices from CFAI Loire Drôme Ardèche and 4th-year engineering students in Sensory Engineering pooled their skills around a technical challenge: to design a lifting system capable of moving a 250-gram load from one crate to another. The production of a functional mock-up enabled the teams to concretize their solution, which was then presented before juries made up of professionals and teachers.
Several high schools responded to the challenge, Claude Lebois, François Mauriac, Aragon Picasso and La Salle Saint-Louis Sainte-Barbe.
Beyond the technical aspect, this challenge created bridges between different levels of training, enhanced the creativity of young people and strengthened the link between schools, companies and local players.
