School history

Centrale Lyon ENISE is an in-house school of the École Centrale de Lyon, a public scientific, cultural and professional institution. Since its creation in 1961, it has been firmly rooted in the region, training specialized engineers to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
  • 1961: Creation of ENISE with accreditation by the Titre d'Ingénieur commission for the Mechanical Engineering specialization
  • 1971: Accreditation by the Titre d'Ingénieur commission for the Civil Engineering specialization
  • 1977: Establishment on the rue Jean Parot site
  • 1990 Creation of the Laboratoire de Tribologie et de Dynamique des Systèmes (LTDS) with the École Centrale de Lyon
  • 2000: Establishment on the second site of the Saint Étienne technopole
  • 2009: ENISE becomes a Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional Establishment
  • 2010: Opening of apprenticeship programs for the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering specialties
  • 2015: Habilitation by the Engineering Title Commission of the Sensory Engineering speciality
  • 2016: Association with École Centrale de Lyon
  • 2021: ENISE becomes Internal School of École Centrale de Lyon
  • 2023: ENISE becomes Centrale Lyon ENISE
