In the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Sensory Engineering, the 3D Printing Chair focuses not only on the technical and scientific aspects of 3D printing, but also on its impact on the company's economic, social and organizational models.
The main themes developed will be as follows:
- The work concerns the performance of materials in cutting-edge sectors such as aeronautics, medical, etc., and the provision of functionality (thermal, hygrometry, etc.) during the 3D printing process for mortars;
- For the medical sector, it focuses on improving the performance of personalized and functionalized prostheses;
- Finally, for the culinary sector, 3D printing aims to optimize material textures.
- More efficient materials contribute to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals);
- In addition, the chair addresses recycling issues;
- Finally, with a broad vision of Sustainable Development (economic, human, organizational and ecological vision), it studies new organizational models linked to the use of 3D printing in the field of Civil Engineering.
- 3D printing requires new skills and new professions;
- The chair identifies these new needs and new professions and proposes training courses to meet them.
