Exchange program

Each year, Centrale Lyon ENISE welcomes around 10% international students from some twenty different countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Spain, Slovenia and Sweden.

Hosting international students is a major enrichment for our school on several levels. In addition to the cultural diversity they bring, these students help stimulate pedagogical innovation, strengthen global collaborations, and develop an extensive international network of graduates.

  • Exchange semester in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Sensory Engineering
This opportunity is available from September to January (autumn semester) to students who have acquired at least 180 ECTS credits at their home school.
A minimum level of English B2 is required. To validate 30 ECTS credits, students can take:
30 ECTS credits of courses and projects to be chosen "à la carte".
30 ECTS credits of research project.
The Certificate of Research Training, which is an additional institutional diploma, is awarded for the research project.
The exchange semester can be extended by a research project semester for an additional 30 ECTS credits.
  • Exchange year

    • Masters 2 in Mechanical Engineering
      • Sustainable Manufacturing and Advances Technologies (SMAT) course (in English)
      • Surface Engineering course, des Interfaces et des Structures (ISIS)
      • Parc Mécanique Numérique des Solides (MNS)
      • Parc Biomécanique (Bioméca)
    • Master 2 in Civil Engineering
      • Parc Modélisations et expérimentations avancées en Génie Civil (MEAGC)
    • Master 2 in Industrial Engineering
      • Parc Méthodes avancées de génie industriel pour l'industrie du futur (MAGIF)

Students with an appropriate academic background who have completed the first year of a master's program or have acquired at least 240 ECTS credits (or national equivalent) at their home school can apply for the second year of our master's program. These two-semester masters programs consist of a course program in the autumn semester and a research paper in the spring semester.

Centrale Lyon ENISE offers the possibility of joining a double degree exchange program, either for the French engineering degree or for a Master's degree. Students then obtain both the Centrale Lyon ENISE diploma and that of the partner university.
This dual curriculum offers exceptional training with unique pedagogical approaches from two institutions. It adds significant value by preparing engineers for integration into companies in both countries and, more broadly, for success in an international context.
This exchange is possible if a double degree agreement exists between Centrale Lyon ENISE and the home institution.

June 15 (May 15 for Master's programs): the autumn semester, academic year and double degree.
November 15: spring semester.
